Sunday Worship

The most important gatherings we have each week is for worship on Sunday morning. The morning service begins at 10:30 am, and a nursery for babies and toddlers is available. A Bible time for preschoolers (ages 3-5 years) is available during the sermon.

Good Shepherd offers small groups (4-5 families) that are geographically arranged according to the members' home location. The small groups meet at various times throughout the week and are designed for a more open discussion of Scripture and for more intimate fellowship through prayer and sharing.

The next most important thing is our Sunday School program. Good Shepherd believes that study of God's Word, growing in the knowledge of the Bible, and responding to what is studied with increasing joy and obedience, is an important aspect of Christian discipleship (Matthew 28:19-20). In light of this, Good Shepherd is committed to implementing a sound Sunday school program covering a variety of Biblical topics throughout the year.

At "Opening Exercise", children (and adults) gather to sing and have brief teaching based on a theme (such as learning the children's cathechism or the books of the Bible).

Sunday school begins at 9:30 am and the year is divided into three 13-week quarters beginning in September. Sunday school does not meet during the summer quarter. Sunday school classes are divided into the following age specific groups:

  • Nursery
  • Pre-K/K
  • Primary
  • Junior
  • Jr. High
  • Sr. High
  • College & Career
  • Adults
