Pastor Rick has been an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America for 17 years. Prior to coming to Good Shepherd, he pastored a church in Southern Illinois for 7 years.  He holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Toledo, as well as an M.Div. and M.A. from Covenant Theological Seminary, the latter degree with an emphasis in Christianity and Contemporary Culture.  Rick has also served as a Special Lecturer at Covenant Theological Seminary, instructing students in the area of homiletics (preaching). He and his wife, LauraEllen, have been married for 17 years and have 3 children who all attend Tall Oaks Christian School in Valparaiso.

Lucy has had a varied work background (as an archivist, editor, and teacher) and appreciates the opportunity as secretary to use many of the same skills. She is glad to assist you with your questions, concerns, and needs.
